No. One NifRide account works with every operator on NifRide. If one firm doesn’t cover your pickup, the app offers one that does.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Account, then Privacy, then Delete account. We remove your personal details, apart from trip records we must keep by law.

Is the price fixed before I book?

Yes. You see the full price for every car type before you confirm. The price only changes if you add a stop or change your destination during the trip.

How far ahead can I book?

You can book now or up to 7 days ahead. Booked-ahead trips are confirmed in the app once a driver accepts.

Do wheelchair-accessible cars cost more?

Are NifRide cars taxis?

NifRide cars are private hire vehicles. Every trip is booked through a licensed private hire operator and driven by a licensed private hire driver, so you can’t hail one in the street.

Open the trip in the app and tap Lost an item. We’ll put you in touch with your driver through a NifRide number, so neither of you shares a phone number.

What do I need to drive with NifRide?

A private hire driver’s licence (badge) from your council, a full DVLA licence, a licensed vehicle with a private hire plate, valid insurance and MOT, and the right to work in the UK.
